Bloom represents an exploration into the future of immersive experiences, where technology, nature, and storytelling converge to create environments that are not only visually compelling, but personally meaningful.
It reflects my interest in designing experiences that invite reflection, encourage connection, and transform how people engage with both space and themselves.
Project Overview
Bloom is an original immersive experience concept currently in the early ideation and conceptual design phase, exploring how environments can be used as a tool for self-discovery, healing, and reconnection through nature.
The concept is rooted in the idea that humans, like plants, thrive under specific conditions. Through a personalized journey, guests are guided to better understand themselves by engaging with immersive environments inspired by botanical archetypes.
The experience begins with an AI-guided intake moment, where guests interact with a responsive system that gathers emotional and behavioral inputs to assign a symbolic plant archetype. This archetype becomes the foundation for a curated journey through a series of immersive, nature-inspired environments.
Each space represents a distinct ecosystem, from bioluminescent forest floors and aquatic dreamscapes to expansive desert landscapes and floating air environments. These worlds are designed through a blend of physical installation, projection mapping, lighting design, and emerging technologies to create sensory-rich, emotionally driven experiences.
At this stage, Bloom exists as a developed concept framework, with a focus on narrative, spatial storytelling, and visual direction. The project explores how immersive design can move beyond spectacle to create meaningful, introspective experiences that stay with guests beyond the physical environment.
My Role:
I developed Bloom as an original concept, leading the project through its ideation, narrative development, and early design exploration phase.
In this capacity, I:
Conceived the core idea and experience framework, defining the relationship between plant archetypes and human behavior
Built the narrative and guest journey, mapping the flow from entry through personalized discovery and immersive environments
Established the creative direction and visual language, developing the overall aesthetic, tone, and emotional intent of the experience
Created concept imagery and visual studies, exploring how each environment could be realized through light, texture, scale, and technology
Storyboarded key experiential moments, focusing on interaction, pacing, and emotional transitions between spaces
Explored integration of emerging technologies, including AI-driven personalization, projection mapping, and XR extensions at a conceptual level
Produced early-stage concept and pitch materials, translating the vision into a cohesive, communicable design direction
This phase of the project is focused on worldbuilding, storytelling, and creative exploration, laying the foundation for future development, collaboration, and potential realization.
