Role
Theater Technician and Assisting Audio Engineer (A2)
Arakus Aeterno Elemuntum was a Heavy Metal Fantasy Opera that had multiple years running in the local community of Wasington State, USA. Partnering with the Kirkland Performing Arts Center, I helped collaborate and bring this show to life through setup, set configuration, set building, painting, and assisting the front of house audio engineer on stage through micing up talent and providing prop assistance. This provided a unique challenge as the actors for the show wore restrictive costumes such as corsets, and had heavy movement such as sword fighting, acrobatics, and flaming props. This required consistent mic checks in between scenes and regular cross collaboration with makeup, costuming, props, the lead audio engineer, and talent. In addition I also assisted with micing of instruments and audio mixes for choirs, bands, and other musicians. Through this performance this landed me a full time role through the theater working as an audio engineer and stage technician.
